The following is the last blog that I wrote on westtxrose.com. It’s kinda sad thinking that it may be the last forever...so we might have to bring it back someday. But for now, it must be retired. I hope you enjoy our new website and I plan to blog more now that it’s a bit more hidden. We’ll see...anyone want to wager how often?

Let’s get started with this new journey!

First, I need to apologize. It has been many…way to many months
since I’ve blogged. There are several reasons of course. The biggest of
which is work. It has been so crazy that I’m wiped out, sick of the
computer and wanting nothing but to hang out with David and/or friends
by the time I get home.

We’ve also had a lot of events going on outside of work - Mud Camp
(http://www.mpaustin.org) and the 3rd Annual Mission: Possible! Banquet (also
on http://www.mpaustin.org) to name a couple. While we weren’t the
coordinators of either event, we were VERY involved and both took a lot
of time and energy.

What’s been fun about the last several months is that we’ve been
able to stay home. Over the holidays and into January, we were gone a
portion of 7 weekends in a row. Not only does that make us tired, but
everything we normally do on the weekend had to be done during the
week. Thankfully, since that string of time, we’ve been able to stay in
town for the most part. My mom came to visit last weekend which was
fun, and this weekend we’ll spend Easter out at David’s parents. I’ve
decided I love to be the one to be visited…

Another reason I haven’t been blogging is because I’ve discovered
that there are people who don’t know me but are very interested in my
personal life because of the position my boss now has. Although this
has actually been a good thing in a couple of different circumstances,
it’s not something I’m really fond of. So, while this blog will stay
active for a little while longer, this will be the last post and we
will say goodbye to it for now. You can email me or comment if you want
the address of our new blog, and I’ll get back to you ASAP - I’d love
for you to have it and keep up with what has been going on in our life.
